PRODUCT INFORMATION

This is holy water from Mary's Well in Nazareth, hand-filled at the source and shipped from the Holy Land. The 250ml plastic bottle is fully transparent and sealed with a metallic cap, sized for a prayer shelf, a nightstand, or beside an icon at home. The set also includes a small hand-painted wooden icon of the Virgin Mary, 6 × 9 cm (2.3 × 3.5 in), made in Bethlehem in the Byzantine tradition, with sheets of gold leaf laid into the background.

Many Christian households keep a bottle of holy water from Nazareth nearby for quiet, everyday devotion — a blessing at a baptism or confirmation, a touch over the doorway of a new home, a meaningful gift after a Holy Land pilgrimage, or a Christmas or Easter present that carries real connection to the Gospel story. With the icon included, the two pieces sit naturally together in a small home prayer corner.

Mary's Well, in the old quarter of Nazareth, is one of the oldest Christian sites in the city. According to a tradition preserved in the early Eastern church, this is the spring where Mary was drawing water when she first heard the voice of the angel announcing she would become the mother of Jesus. The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation was built directly over the source. The icon, hand-painted in Bethlehem, follows the Byzantine style that has carried Christian iconography for over a thousand years, with gold used as a sign of holiness rather than as decoration. Together, the set joins the two cities most closely tied to Mary in the Gospel story.

Care Instructions:

Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use and store it upright, away from direct sunlight and heat. The water is not for drinking — for external devotional use only. Wipe the icon gently with a dry, soft cloth; avoid water, cleaning sprays, or polishes on the painted surface and the gold leaf. Keep the icon away from direct sunlight, humidity, and sudden changes in temperature.
